Also because we stopped caring. It’s old news at this point. I think another guy by the name of GrimChariot seems to dislike the princesses and nightshroud69 likes Spike too much that he thinks he should be the main character of EVERYTHING.

Meanwhile Ring Team is making up bullshit most of the time. He makes good points in some cases but even in those points he exaggerates her actions. Like there was one time he called Starlight Glimmer evil only because she called Twilight Sparkle “not a princess-princess” in Horse Play.

It doesn’t matter who is more popular. It shouldn’t. Popularity doesn’t make a character good, what they do in canon does. If that’s the case the villains would usually be better than the heroes because they’re usually more popular. It’s actually because Starlight actually learned from her reformation while Discord always seems to step backward. Starlight herself literally was the better mare when she was the first to apologize even though Discord was the one trying to agitate her, especially since Starlight just saved him from Queen Chrysalis not so long ago. And if we wanna list what they’ve done.

Discord also mind controlled ponies, making the Mane Six act the opposite of themselves.
He completely striped away their personalities and identities. Again they act like the complete opposite of themselves.
He almost flood Sweet Apple Acres which is the main food source of Ponyville, almost causing ponies to starve.

And mind you, those are from his time as a villain. I haven’t even mentioned helping Tirek take away magic which is also an identity of ponies, and summoning 3 dangerous people and basically giving them weapons to hurt others and destroy the world. Those are after his reformation, but you only listed things Starlight did during her villainous moments too so I got to be fair. However, is there really anything particularly bad she did after her reformation? Mind controlling the Mane Five? She felt guilty, apologized for that, and never did it again. Trading Trixie’s wagon away? Did it out of anger and rash decisions, felt absolutely regretful of it, and never did it again. All I’m trying to say is I think Starlight is better and popularity does not invalidate my opinions.

And I know he does care. He just doesn’t care as much. Like I said, he’d rather cause trouble for Starlight than help her because he wanted to be chaotic more than anything. He wanted to pretend to be hurt by Sombra instead of defeating him outright because he wanted to mess around and play prankster more. And he sent the Mane Six, his friends, on a fake and dangerous friendship quest purely so no one can distract him from messing with Starlight Glimmer. He does care, but he cares about creating chaos more than anything in his life. Yes, even Fluttershy. He did choose Tirek, a creature who can also create chaos, over her after all.

Well, you see I didn’t really mention the ponies you don’t like, even though Fluttershy is one of them. I’m fine with that too. I’m fine with what people don’t like and like but if someone wants to challenge me for what I don’t like, of course I’ll challenge back. And I don’t really apply that “be the big man” thing to random people on the internet. It’s more important to do that in real life like during jobs, to your friends, and around family but it’s not worth bottling up my emotions for some faceless rando on the internet that I don’t know anything about. It’s pretty easy for me to differentiate between the internet and real life so yeah.

I’m much more picky for pretty much everything, MLP characters included. For all accounts I don’t like fluttercord, but honestly as you saw in my previous comment it’s probably for opposite reasons. And honestly I use the hide and filters as much as I want.
Nowadays I’m mostly just try to ignore people who disagree or agree with me since I’m most of the time I just rarely feel any gratification, though I can’t say my patience is limitless.
Honestly, whenever there’s a character I hate I personally prefer find ways around it, like putting Fluttershy as a side character or even a BG character, or mostly just focus in characters I like.
And I don’t use the “be the big man” for the sake of others, I do it for my own sake, it’s something we do for ourselves rather than just simply appeasing others.

Well, it’s not really debunking if someone just calls me a “jerk”. It would obviously make me angry. I mean I know the saying “the bigger man” and “turn the other cheek” and stuff but this is the internet. That doesn’t really work here. And trust me, I definitely learned about the “every time one gets the chance” part because that’s what I’m trying to stop. Honestly I thought I was already quite in control already, not commenting on every single image with Discord or Fluttercord in it, but either that wasn’t enough or I eventually went overboard. Now I’m mostly a lot calmer than I used to be but it’s so weird how I’m mostly picked out of this one negative trait in the ocean of all the other positive comments I make. Guess it is true that people only pick out the worst thing about you. Anyway, other than Discord, I generally like everyone else in the show, so you won’t find me talking trash about them at all. I guess at the end of the days it is easier for me to pretend one character is non-canon than for anyone else to pretend that one person that really really hates Discord doesn’t exist, so I’ll go with that. Discord ain’t canon, neither is Fluttercord.

Well, don’t ask me the answer. Again we all have grudges, that doesn’t mean we all do the same. Trust me, I’d probably get hate messages as well if I let my own as well. So many characters I hate, like Cozy, Fluttershy (yeah, I’m sorry but I’m on the opposite to you there), Sci-Twi, and yet I’m not saying we shouldn’t feel, what I’m saying is that you shouldn’t let your feelings control you to that extend. Trust me, I actually think my list of grudges is higher.
And yeah, it’s true that freedom of expression allows you to express yourself, but it’s a double edge sword, I wouldn’t suggest to ban you per see of shut you up, but people would be willing to debunk you in the best case scenario as well, at worst people would eventually get fed up.
And who knows, I admit I also get angry as well and vent out a bit here and there, but still, you should avoid making a career and reputation of “venting out about a fictional character every time one gets the chance”, trust me, is not gonna help anyone.

I think I let it control me plenty. That’s why I asked if it’s bannable, because I have been banned before. I know I’ve done things very obnoxiously in the comments but I’m trying to stop that. Right now I’m trying to do it in a way that won’t disturb artists or anyone not seeking out my posts. And to be honest, I don’t think this new way I’m doing is grinding out anyone’s patience. Just look at my posts, I don’t post often to begin with but my posts of Discord are very few, only three of now I think. One of them is drawn by my brother who I think draws really well and encourage everyone to go check him out. I know I shouldn’t use the comments to do it so I think I at least have the freedom to express my opinions by uploads. I don’t know how much I have to restrain to count as control. If three is still too much, perhaps not doing it at all would be the best idea, and I’ll gladly delete my posts if that’s what people want, other than the one my brother drew.

I’m not trying to rile people up. I’m trying to express how I feel. That’s free speech, and the same thing about me “being calm toward a cartoon character” shouldn’t only be applied to me. I never went on and attack anyone personally and I never called anyone a “jerk” or any insults of such. I target my criticism toward a fictional character and only a fictional character. It’s not my problem if anyone wants to take it personally. And if people want to insult me for my opinions, I’m not going to just submit and change my opinions for it. Of course I’ll retaliate and maybe go harsh on them but I won’t insult people directly. If people don’t want me to hate a fictional character this much, maybe I shouldn’t be seen as an enemy just because I hate this particular one fictional character out of so many others.

Maybe. But I concede one small thing. Over time patience can wear thin. Of course you are somewhat right I could probably ignore it…just make sure to follow your own advice as well and people will be fine. Because doing post to deliberately rile people up and act in such a smarmy way as you did [“Just because I don’t like your precious favorite character?”] could result in bannable offenses. Not from me maybe, probably someone else. So, here’s my tip, learn to control your hatred and anger for a cartoon, if you let it control you, it’s very likely you might have problems with anyone.
I couldn’t care the less about who you like or dislke, but the way you express yourself would get you into trouble.
