A quick fix might be to make a copy of the original art, downscale it to NTSC or PAL resolution (a few hundred pixels in either direction), then resize that back up to the final size you want, and THEN apply filters. That way you lose a lot of the fine details, just like real VHS. Could be worth a try!

I’m still in the search for a good looking retro effect without losing (much) quality.
The ideal thing would be recording the drawing on an actual VHS in SP mode then taking a snapshot of a single frame, but that would’ve kinda costly nowadays :S

I have the original without the filter. I’m not sure if I should sumbit it. But to better appreciate lovebug’s angy face could worth it
