I think there are websites that archive 4chan threads, so they can be used as the source. But IMHO leaving out the 4chan source and tagging “derpibooru exclusive” would still be acceptable if the artist themself is uploading the pics.

I wonder if it’s considered to be exclusive when the art is sourced from a 4chan’s thread. Eventually the thread will be gone so the art becomes derpibooru exclusive later.
