Only aspects that are Rubbish is having Netflix involved with it and exclusive to Netflix

This will always be a very deceptive and bad argument. G5 is to G4, what JoJo Part 3 was to Part 2. You have all that experience and world carried over, where you can drop the parts you don’t want to use anymore and then keep going forward. Making a show that feels new without it actually being a fresh start.
This is not something that just started. They’re creating on top of 10 years of experience and world building. G4 on the other hand started from the adventures of a girl playing with her toys, and remembering those times as an adult, building those ideas on top of practically nothing, starting the world from scratch.
So at the end of the day, we do indeed have two shows that can’t be evenly compared.
…Or by “just started” you just meant we’ve not yet seen a single episode of G5 that we actually know is canon other than the movie. That’s a good argument.

Ellis' Simp
Tbh, I’ve been watching MLP G4 since early 2014, but I’m not a big MLP G4 fan. Because I don’t really see the excitement in the story in this MLP G4, and the lack of impression this series has on me.
However, since the release of MLP G5, for some reason I’m really excited and until now I’m a big fan of MLP G5 and have completely left MLP G4. MLP G5 inspires me, both in artstyle for my art, in storytelling, character development, and many other things.

This reminds me of being a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon fan and seeing Gates to Infinity being rejected. I’m always like “Wouldn’t it be nicer to approve more stories into this franchise that doesn’t have a lot of games to begin with?” Why reject when you could get more?
