I’m implying that you should be able to cite a sample size greater than ~0.000004 per-cent. It is the atheist camp that insists that it is the arbiter of science, so it strikes me as odd that you would go about making an argument in the most unscientific way possible.

Of course, that’s only a small part of the errors in your argumentation. “Christians cling to the ten commandments?” Uh, “cling” is not the appropriate word. A lot of churches teach that Christ signifies a new covenant. While this is not a universal understanding, it’s also far from universal that Christians “cling” to the ten commandments.

Why am I not surprised. Also, I would encourage you to study the ten commandments a little more closely. Not because I expect you to believe in them, but because your interpretation from the examples you gave shows a very twisted and unbiblical interpretation. If you wish to “take it to those Christians,” you should try to know what you’re referencing.

“Christians don’t know the ten commandments.” - out of ten christians I’ve asked only one recited all ten (actually it’s not ten but that’s irrelevant). It’s almost always “don’t kill, don’t steal…”. And never christians mention that “don’t kill” applies only to sacrifices, murder is allowed, and “don’t steal” only means that you should murder first then loot.

Didn’t he said that he came no to change the rule but to execute it? Where and by what authority he changed any rule of old testament? Also one of most hilarious things - christians clinging to “the Ten Commandments” without even knowing them, not to mention understanding them.

Have you read the story of Lot? That stuff is hilarious. The big problem with the Bible is people don’t think of it as a narrative book! It started in the past but things change. The Torra (old testament) tells you the way things were. Then comes Jesus, changes and throws out most of that stuff and we have a new testament. Gone are the old rules like Leviticus telling you to sell your kids into slavery. Instead, we have Jesus saying treat everyone nicely, be kind. Most people pick stuff from the old bits of the book and act like that’s how things should be now. It would be like someone reading all the Harry Potter books, then claiming that Harry always sleeps under the stairs of the Dursleys, because is says that at the beginning of the book.

The real joke is that few actually read the bible cover to cover, not even most ardently loyal Christians. Instead, people just pick out the sections that align with them best; each denomination focusing on different conceptualizations of the bible’s teachings. Kinda reminds me of something vaguely similar… can’t quite put my hoof on it though…

You know it’s good if it captures the attention of Rainbow Dash.
