Poland had its share of both good and bad relations with Ukraine, true. With both sides guilty of horrible things. However for now the consensus is to focus on (re?)building good relations, because Putin benefits from discord between Poland and Ukraine.
Also, modern Polish people are almost universally in support of Ukraine's independence. Unlike Russia, Poland nowadays has basically no imperialist tendencies.
