“This Scootaloo provides enough for the Hawk’s whole brood but first the young foal must killed by dropping on to the sharp rocks at the base of the nest. The carcass can then be picked clean as the chicks call out at the site of their mother. This one foal will feed the family for three days before the mother will need to return to the kindegarten”
