Well, if we assume that the Mane Six are 18-22 around the time of Friendship is Magic (S1E1), then all the parents would probably be at least 36-40 at the start of the series.
In Lesson Zero (S2E3), Twilight freaks out because she can’t find anything to write a friendship report on that week, so I think it’s safe to assume every episode up to that point has been set a week after the last, which means she’s been in Ponyville for 26 weeks, or just short of six months. If we take this as a baseline for how long the seasons take (except season 3, which is only 13 episodes instead of the usual 26), then the whole series would take a little over four years to complete in-universe, putting the youngest of the Mane 6’s parents at 40 at The Ending of the End (S9E24-26). But season 2 onward could take longer than six months, since at the end of Lesson Zero, Celestia told Twilight that there was no due date for a friendship report and that she could simply write one whenever a problem was solved.

Even in the show, the ponies who’re supposed in their 40’s or 50’s don’t really look much older than the young 20-somethings.
