Subtlety is most definitely my preference.
I don’t know, I like cartoonier ones personally. I’ll take expressionism over realism any day.
I didn’t say “all” or even “most”, I said “lots”. There are sixteen thousand humanised pics on this board. Quite a few of them are ridiculous beyond belief. Particularly by some of the more popular artists.
I heartily disagree. There are scores of very nice humanizations out there, and plenty of them do a very nice job of conveying characters, not caricatures.
