Recently I’ve posted developmental thumbnails for an upcoming Celestia color commission , . Thumbnails sketches are useful, powerful tool that let you explore concepts without committing to a finished piece. For every finished drawing and painting you’ve seen posted by me there is probably 4 to 6 thumbnails I did in advance.
Even if a thumbnail doesn’t get use for the original purpose they may get recycle for other characters or pieces in the future. So here’s a selection of thumbnails I thought you might enjoy. You may recognize some of these from the their finished pieces while others may get drawn in the future. Stay tuned.
