Second in a series on the changeling hives.

The Orange Changelings were the first to come to the attention of Twilight Sparkle after the changeling attack on Canterlot. Her discovery that a long-time acquaintance and favorite fiction author was also a changeling, led her to realize that Chrysalis’ hive was not typical of changelings in general. Her investigations led her to a meeting with Queen Polistae and a greater insight into the difference between these and the Blue Changelings. The Orange Changelings specialize in creative fields such as comedy, music, writing, circus, and theater. While they still feed on love, they have a greater desire for the taste of admiration and enthusiastic participation of their endeavors. A live concert can fulfill an Orange Changeling far more effectively than an unwilling donor. These changelings are the smallest and cutest of the six hives, and with very short fangs. Because of this, these changelings frequently prefer taking the form of mares rather than the larger stallions. The color of their magical transformations is yellow.
