I think it runs much deeper than that and has to do with interacting with some of them.
I know its hard to take criticism towards something you worked hard on, but try to remind him that they are just some words on his screen. Is he neurodivergent?
That’s an impossibility with him. His reasons are and I quote: “these people made my life Hell and hated me for being different and did not like me, they get treated like they are perfect and get way to much fan art and pander towards”
