Luna and my OC are actually really good friends with each other, because they’re pretty similar. I have a whole backstory for me OC and yeah, if you wanna know about it you can PM me. I don’t like sharing my OCs stories in public. :P

I do admit Discord still has good episodes, but the number of them is too few and far between the bad ones that it’s hard to overlook the bad. And yes, you’re pretty head on. Like he always keeps that obnoxious personality anywhere he goes, especially when he has done so many awful things. I mean many characters, Starlight for example, does bad things too but they eventually express their regret and have better attitude about their mistakes, even becoming more and more humble in the future. With Discord, he never seems to learn humbleness and regret. He always has the worst attitude and expressions, and that just makes me so angry. I mean making mistakes is one thing but no owning up to them is something I just cannot tolerate. I guess it’s fitting Discord is the most dissociated to humility and humanity considering his powers. He may very well be a sociopath. It doesn’t help that people keep excusing his actions for his powers. Isn’t power abuse like the opposite of a good character trait?

You probably read too deep into my Pinkie Pie comment indeed. I’m really doing that to spite Discord but Pinkie Pie is definitely more competent than Discord, and that is a fact. :P

And oh my god The Mask really is better than Discord. That is an example of chaotic good reality bending powers done right, unless you don’t count the comics but that’s straight up chaotic evil/cruel. That’s basically just like Pinkie Pie who does random cartoonish things for fun and heroism, instead of being a general douchebag whose only powerful when it inconveniences others. Now I want to watch the movie again. :D

Ability to turn into a shadow, fire dark creepy magical balls and giving nightmares. So he’s basically a Sombra-like unicorn? (I actually wonder how Princess Luna would probably react when she finds out this OC can give people nightmares, considering it’s her duty to not let nightmares happen)

I don’t know, I’m personally not one to hate characters, and I always tend to have a neutralist Switzerland-esque view; So I don’t like Discord that much, but I don’t necessarily hate him either. Though that might be because I haven’t seen all the episodes where he’s in.

I guess the main issue you have with him it’s his personality. And I have to agree; one of the few times I’ve seen him basically was him trolling Starlight Glimmer… It kinda feels everyone has to ‘tolerate’ his actions because he can easily turn your insides to outsides with a snap of his fingers a la Thanos.

I guess it could be said that Pinkie Pie is more powerful, but I always thought her powers were related to her element (Laughter), and if her 4th wall breaking wasn’t for comedy or atleast slightly funny they didn’t work, which might explain why such being with such power didn’t take care herself of the villains, but I’m probably overthinking this and I’m wrong anyways…

But your character idea sounds nice, though I wonder, will you ever explicitly indicate his powers (Like, he does something that confirms his own sayings about his power and magic) but not use it at all when it’s actually needed, or he never shows them in the first place (So basically what he says sounds like a lie)?

This is how i see all reality warpers. They brag about how powerful they are yet they never do anything. Or when they indeed do something then they never do it right.

I am actually working on a personal project, an original series. It is partly a parody on the fantasy genre. One episode introduces a character who claims to be all powerful but he never does anything and his excuse is always “i am bored”. To the point where a gangster shows up beating him up and bleeds everywhere. The other characters would ask “why are you not defending yourself?!” And he replies “bcuz i am bored” [coughs up blood]

I also gave him some magical attack and power like turning into actual shadow and being able to move around fast, and ball of dark projectile, but his most incredible power is giving others living nightmares. So yeah, basically a unicorn but edgier. And yes, that’s why his hair is red. I find it cool. :P

Well, everyone has their opinion but Discord is like, a lot less cute than all the other characters in the show. It’s also hard to find him cute when he is such an obnoxious jerk. And that Pinkie Pie line is really just said because I hate Discord, and considering how he is in canon, that may very well be true. I look down on Discord and think literally every other character is more powerful than he is, even freakin’ Tank. Also Pinkie Pie is able to break through fourth wall way more than Discord, going through the black border and stuff. She is definitely more powerful than Discord in some sense.

And finally, well you’re certainly not bothering me. I love this talk I’m having with you. I don’t know about anyone else but I think you’re cool. :3

Don’t worry, I don’t find it stupid myself. I mean, between my groups of friends there’s a Pegasus that blows stuff up magically while flying and a robot supersoldier. I even have both ponysonas as plane ponies, and I always thought that was quite stupid myself… But to be clear, your OC is nice ^^ (And I wish I was so confident and not-caring-about-others as you; I have a lot of anxiety for even posting this message)

Some weird magical thing in Everfree Forest possessed him and gave him that power. Even though he is a pegasus, I kind of wanted to give him something to be cool. I know that’s probably or definitely stupid but I don’t care. He is my OC and I can do whatever I want with it. :P

Of course he is afraid of cute stuff, since he isn’t cute himself lol. And Pinkie Pie has powers that are even beyond Discord. She can break through barrier of reality and stand in midair even without wings or magic. She may be able to distort reality if she wanted and even more, distort realities other than hers. But instead Pinkie Pie chooses to make others happy and bring laughter to all realities. That’s why Discord is so afraid of her. She can probably destroy Discord with a hoof clap but she chose not to because she has the kindness that is only outmatched by Fluttershy.

I mean this is under my post so I’m pretty sure we can talk about anything as long as I don’t mind, but you can still PM me if you want. :D

Wait, but how he does that while being a Pegasus? Is he an Alicorn in secret? I thought magic could only be done by Unicorn users, huh, must be wrong…

He can project images of people’s biggest fear. It’s like Scarecrow from Batman but more magical and Sombra’s magic but even scarier. Discord may be all powerful and obnoxious, but even he is afraid of something.

I’m not afraid of Pinkie Pie though. She is just a sweet little party pony who wants to make you happy, but of course someone who only wants despair and sadness like Discord is afraid of her. :P

I’m not sure what the black Pegasus is capable of, but I kinda support him; Discord’s not exactly my favourite character anyways.

Also… Am I the only one that finds this OC cute? His colour palette is nice.

I mean, everyone should, under all circumstances, be afraid of Pinkie. Especially if you break a Pinkie Promise. I like her, but she can basically jumpscare you with a random teleport when you’re sleeping XD

There’s a reason that pone got put into a fight with Deadpool, although the outcome was not expected at all.

But even Discord is afraid of something. He seems to be afraid of Pinkie Pie for example. He knows what Shadow is capable of and no matter what chaotic power he can perform, he cannot stop Shadow from making him see some of his biggest nightmares in his mind, especially when he is angry. He may have incredible and limitless power, but everyone has fear. It’s more of a psychological thing. :P

At the risk of sounding like that guy, but I don’t think Discord would be intimidated easily by some random pegasus. I mean, I hate the guy too just like you but I do find this even more out of character of him than from he was written in the show.
