Which would explain why she didn’t get an episode.
As far as i’m concerned the writers have no idea how to write her as anything more than a whiny golddigging fashionista with no scrupules.
@Dumb Rock
Yep, Rarity only had 2 episodes in season 2, and one of the was shared with Sweetie Belle.
Yeah, back in 2011. And there were 2, as much if not less than the others.
…meaning Rarity has been in more episodes of Season 3 than its alleged main character. >>
Still a shame, as she’s second-best of the main six IMHO
She’ll have touched 4 different years sure, but if you count from mid-December to mid-January then you’re only talking a length of 2 years and 1 month.
Technically she would still have been in 3 years without episodes. Sort of like how I’m only 14 yet I have technically lived in three decades and two centuries.
@Randomosaur
That’s not 3 years without. 2012 is 1 year without and 2013 is 2 years without, so if she gets an episode early 2014 then that’s only 2 years without an episode.
I know.
The latter was, truthfully, a little ambiguous but I would still argue that those conclusions were more the result of seeing what one wants to see.
Fanbase or fandom then.
The truth is, Rarity can’t get an episode without turning into a shitstorm.
Examples?
Sisterhooves social
What happens:
After many times trying to chill out, rarity finally gets stressed at sweetie belle and acts a lil bad, she regrets and in the end she’s a great sister again.
What the fanbase sees:
Rarity is an awful and abusive sister.
Secret of my excess
What happens:
Rarity persuades Spike to do an act of generosity, thank him with a kiss, gives him gifts, hold his gift until the very end against a monster, saves ponyville.
What the fanbase sees:
Rarity stole Spike’s own gift on his birthday, she’s a bitch.
Do you know what i mean?People simply just pretend Rarity character development never happens.
That’s why i kinda don’t mind if there are Rarity episodes anymore, it just hurts.
fair point
I’m mostly doing it to get it out of my mind than to argue with him (not that he may argue back)
It’s the same people, calling them fans makes it sound like they are more numerous than they are.
And I don’t care too much if a group willingly misinterprets or applies special standards to confirm what they already believed.
Nope, as a Rarifan i’m fine with that.
EVVVVVVIL!
I should point out that you are arguing with someone who cannot take an intentionally absurd situation in a cartoon about talking horses in the spirit it was intended.
There’s no point in arguing with a mind like that.
No it doesn’t. Instead of trying (and possibly failing) to fight her way out, she made them want to release her. “Whining” (nevermind that it was all an act) was the only option she had, and considering she was being enslaved and unsure that someone would arrive to save her, it was a pretty smart and brave move.
“Moments”
Yeah, as a comic relief character.
We haven’t had a Rarity-centered storyline in over a year.
