The notion that Hasbro would make a scene like that as fan service to a niche group of individuals completely contradicts the lesson that you’re supposed to learn from Episode 1. Nightmare Moon was wrong. The context of the scene is that Celestia being put on the moon is supposed to be bad. You aren’t supposed to sympathize with NMM because she is unjustifiably evil, but naturally, since autists generally gravitate towards other autists (or at least perceived autists in Luna’s case), we have a cesspit of BO known as moonfags. Did you know that a good portion of “luna fans” like Luna because they think that she is retarded like they are?

It is much more likely that when that scene was written, they were thinking more along the lines of “what is the worst possible outcome in this scenario”. If anyone actually was rooting for NMM, then sorry to say, you’re fucking stupid. You don’t seem to understand Luna’s character, despite being claiming to be a fan of her. Luna doesn’t WANT eternal night. Luna doesn’t hate her sister, and she CERTAINLY wouldn’t approve of her “””“fans”””” flapping their greasy arm-wings in the air because they didn’t get their way.

Imagine this: You are in Equestria and talk to Luna. You propose some scheme of taking over Equestria and making Luna the sole leader. She’d likely throw you in the fucking dungeons.

Sigh! This even thing was for the Luna fans. Hasbro clearly did this scene to make the Luna fans feel better since Celestia finally got sent to the moon too.

Many of the Luna fans seems to have forgotten about that scene already as they’re still mad about Celestia sending Luna to the moon despite the fact that Luna finally got her revenge on Celestia an few Seasons later and send her to the moon too.

That was my point in the last comment about both sisters being ‘even’ now.

If Hasbro didn’t do that scene with Luna sending Celestia to the moon at all then I’m sure alot of the Luna fans would probably still be upset and say “Why didn’t Celestia get sent to the moon too?! Honestly, I don’t really care about fim anymore and I already moved on from the series. I just wanted to remind the Luna fans that Luna did sent Celestia to the moon for an thousand years too as they often forget about that scene that’s all.

You must’ve forgot that Celestia banished Luna to the moon because Nightmare Moon had taken control of her mind. There is nothing for them to get “even” about, Celestia was wrong for ignoring Luna until it was too late, she was not wrong to banish her though. NMM apologists are scum.

I actually like Celestia as much as I like Luna. Sure, Hasbro was late in giving Celestia her own eps. as she didn’t start getting them until the debut of Daybreaker, Celestia’s evil version of herself. But you know what they say, ‘better late than never.’

And yes, I know that many fans are still upset about Celestia banishing Luna to the moon for a thousand years. But they need to remember that Luna eventually got her revenge and banished Celestia to the moon for a thousand years when Twilight chased Starlight to a different timeline when Starlight used the time travel spell to create a different future. Remember that? So I’d say that both Princesses are even with ‘the banishing to the moon for a thousand years’ thing now.

And yes, Luna did banish her sister to the moon for a thousand years. This gif proves it.

Since Nightmare Moon banished Celestia to the moon, it was likely for 1,000 years. The same number of years that Celestia banished Luna to the moon for in the past.

So the way I see it, both sisters are even now.

She wasn’t that interesting at the start but she sure grew on me. The hate that exists is a bit much mind.

I think most of people prefer Luna just because she have perfect color scheme, she’s probably most beautiful fantasy creature ever.
Tia will have duller colors, but surely she are cutest sister if younger sister are most beautiful.

Well that’s not fair. Shouldn’t that mean Luna gets the same treatment? And people seem to forget Luna’s envy was also pretty misplaced.

I always see people defending Luna because they have younger sibling bias, always on about how they’re just like Luna and stuff. Well as an older sibling, I just wanna say it’s not easy either and Celestia is being the best gosh darn older sister she could. Celestia deserves better.

People seem to forget how hard it was for Celestia to send her own sister to the moon, for the sake of her subjects no less. She had to hide the pain of losing Luna and take on the duty of raising both the sun and the moon. She probably had to put on a front of confidence and regality even though she was constantly crying on the inside for failing her sister. She was a hero to the little ponies but to herself, she was the one who hurt her own sister.

And you know what they say about the road to Hell…

I think it’s because of two things:

Celestia banishing Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon to the Moon, and ruling as an immortal for centuries - “tyranny”

Being upset that she and Luna simply retired and gave her position to Twilight.

Wait really, people still do that? I thought we all love Celestia now, with all the fanarts and stuff. Tia is a great princess too!

They think that immortal rulers are always tyrants because they won’t allow more competent leaders to govern a realm. They were angry that you banished your enraged, frenzied sister to the Moon, and you simply resigned.

At least you have good intentions.
