(people fussed about personalities in G3, though they suits the ponies and if you don’t count afterG3 shorts Meet the Ponies and Special Days, they aer perfect.. they just didn’t get enough time to develeop since there was only a few movies - like 10-13 FIM episodes at max, and you don’t have 6 ponies to show, but much more).  
(..so the personalities in G3.5 are much more developed.. Scootaloo is the best example)
