“War is peace.” Sprout believed that by going to war against the other pony races, it would bring solace to Earth ponies at last and prove their superiority.
“Freedom is slavery.” Like the other races during this time, the Earth ponies believed in a rigid conformity of paranoia against the other ponies, and that any Earth ponies who went against the status quo with free thinking, like Sunny, were to be looked upon as oddballs and outliers.
“Ignorance is strength.” Sprout was able to rally the Earth ponies by playing on the rumors and fear-mongering that kept them separated fromeacthe other races, simply because they didn’t see the truth.
