I think it’s las vegas, mainly because it sounds more like las pegasus, and it is spelled “Las” Instead of “Los”
in the wrong neighborhood?
I assume because Las Vegas is more iconic of a place name than Las Angeles
Las Vegas I always assumed

Isn’t Las Pegasus Los Angeles?
They both share the same number of syllables besides being named after flying creatures.
