Regardless what season you thought he had the most character grouth in, the writers made Discord look like an idiot in the final season, there’s no way to sugar coat that.

Idk why people wanted or expected lavish character development from a show written and produced by freelance creatives who were constantly swapped out, their biggest concern being how to write around Hasbro’s newest advertising scheme every now and then.

I’ll never stop being amused at people acting like FiM was supposed to be some sort of complex, young adult anime and arguing about how it wasn’t. It’s like crying that your apple pie wasn’t made with blueberries and acting like it was the baker’s fault, not you for buying one pie and expecting it to be another.

you mean S8. Because S5-s7 actually grow ups like a character. If those Discord’s episodes were in the same season, everbody would look very remarkable his arc. And the comics actually gives him more deep. It’s only Dubuc’s Discord what’s wrong with him.

If by “playful” you mean a backstabbing jerk who continued to screw up everything and almost got everyone killed by having 4 villains join forces and then got betrayed by them when they got tired of his leadership… then yes, f_ck that idiot, they never should’ve tried to reform him and let him rot as bird fountain for the rest of his life.

Trixie is okay with her role.
Thorax really don’t need being a main character.
Sunset is okay like the protagonist of Equestria Girls.

The Mane 6 and spike are mane characters, starlight isn’t despite them trying to force her to be main for a while. Even over the princesses who were there from the very beginning.

2. Manga - Yeah, My Little pony had a 3 volumes manga series made by seven seas.
4. Pinkie shorts - I remind Twilight also appears, and references to Discord, Cozy, Grogar, Tirek, Chrysalis and King Sombra in one short.
And i really think Starlight gets a worse treatment from Hasbro than Spike who had many apparitions.

2.Manga? I have no idea what you’re talking about?
3.Pony Life - neither she nor Sunset appeared in any of the episodes, so that was another wasted opportunity for her and Sunset.
  1. 3D Pinkie Pie shorts - from what I remember, only Celestia and Gummy appeared in that animation.
  2. The stop motion shorts - neither she nor Spike appeared in those shorts, just the Mane 6, that was it.
  3. And worst of all, after 2 years of FiM’s final episode, they finally decided to release a book about Spike becoming a pegasus, and they didn’t even release it in the US, they released it in Finland.
And if you thought i’m here to hate on Spike or Starlight, then you’re 100% WRONG. I love both of them, but Hasbro clearly doesn’t consider them important or as popular as the Mane 6, those are the facts.

Actually i don’t hate her, Hasbro hates her, just look her presence in another media like comics, manga, pony life, the 3d pinkie shorts, the stop motion shorts, etc. She don’t have so much presence.
