Actually Taiwan calls them 彩虹小馬 (rainbow ponies)
That’s all ok now, now you know the difference and able to avoid pissing Japanese or Chinese for calling them as one another.

They are exclusive to Simplified Chinese, btw.
Chinese mainland call them 小马 (xiaoma)
Taiwan call them 小馬 (xiaoma, but traditional script)

Western people like to confuse the two kinds of scripts, all because of Japanese Kanji…
In all the early polls, Pipp was in last, with Hitch and Zipp being nearly tied. Pipp seems to be more popular and Hitch less for Japanese fans.
You’re assuming the products are loaded according to some presumed popularity. It could be that all the Izzy and Sunny toys were already bought. Then again, Pipp is a very appealing design. Just not an attractive character, unless you aspire to be a brand obsessed phony pony.
