Now it’s just another remnant of a missed attempt like any other… hence the dusting and cleaning up in this comic.

uuungh you just reminded me of a horror fic where the owl gets high grade ink spilled onto him his feathers absorb the stuff, making work like a ballpoint, and Twi starts mass-marketing them. Olwy ends up in a tiny cage, with feeding and … waste tubes jammed in him and repeadly being plucked raw, then his feathers regrown with a magic boost over and over and over.
