Actually, no, Chrysalis never once referred to any of the changelings as her children. 'Subjects' is the only term she used. Thorax had a flashback that showed her with a bunch of newly hatching changelings, but even then there was never any mention of maternal terms.
What really threw a wrench in this long standing headcanon is that Ocellus has unique, confirmed parents, heavily implying the changelings do not operate like colony insects.
They're more like beetles than ants anyway so, really this isn't too surprising.
