Personally, I’m hoping for dinosaurs myself.
Making a game isn’t cheap. And the remains that, as of this moment, mane6 is going to be released free, even with a campaign like that
Do you even know how much money goes into the campaign?
Offering it at the cost of 300,000 dollars more to their campaign which is double what they currently have.
They have no chance. Its greed pure and simple
Yes it still four-legged jay wright confirmed it and pretty the fighting mechanics will still be the same as to keep it as close as to the original as possible.
I couldn’t agree more, but what’s more important is that I hate to see such raw potential in these guys die in the sea of nothingness never reaching it full potential, hell if they do well with this game they might end up becoming legitimate game developers that had its roots from the brony community. Look at the bright side of thing when people say that brony suck or something we’ll be able to point and say that this originated out of the brony community that is if it’s done well and well received.
HELL YEAH
They’ve been offered before but they refused on grounds that they were already pretty far in development.
Clarifying on my previous post:
It’s not that I don’t think they’ll deliver, I don’t think it’s worth it. It’s like some kind of reverse buyout.
Why this couldn’t be thrown at Mane 6 earlier in development is beyond this anon.
I mean, COME ON. LAUREN FAUST AND NOW THE SKULLGIRLS TEAM IS OFFERING THEIR ENGINE. Sure, the latter is with a condition, but still !
And the production history was pony linked so, even if it becomes nonpony-related, its still pony at heart.
Of course they can’t use pony OCs or something quadraped related, cos Hasbro might strike back again (who knows) No, I’m going to keep supporting this game, even if its not pony, because they got something potentially good going here, and they started off with something we’re familiar with.

I vaguely recall hearing that the characters will stay quadrupeds, but I can’t give a source for that, so I could be wrong.
Given the work put into making sprites based off of ponies, I’d assume that the characters are still pony based, even if their designs are altered. Until Mane6 unveils the new build, everything we’ve seen is pony related. If the new version is changed to the point that it isn’t pony related, then I guess it will have to be posted elsewhere.
But until then…
They stated that they are keeping it 4-legged, so we can hope for a leaked pony mod.
Did they actually confirm they’d be ponies? Would be neat, I guess, if they use the old G1 characters (afaik Hasbro no longer owns those) or something. Still, a big attraction for the game was playing the characters from the show.
Ah well.

Kind of. As much as the various OCs are, anyway.
Currently the work is based off of MLP. It remains to be seen how far away from MLP it travels.
The production history makes it pretty linked.
