They’re both kind and gentle ponies, but Fluttershy seems more self-aware than Hitch. Fluttershy knows it’s her destiny to care for animals, and their attraction to her is a part of that. Hitch has no clue why animals are attracted to him. Hopefully in the series he’ll come to learn why he’s the new Fluttershy.

I don’t know why so many people are comparing Fluttershy to Hitch. Fluttershy is best pony, and Hitch definitely isn’t. Nopony can replace Fluttershy for me, and I don’t think Hitch even comes close to replicating her charm in G4.
