They probably went into hiding after the ponies fell apart. It’s harder for him to find any record of them.
I meant other non-pony races. He seems to remember the mane 6 that’s for sure.
He did really well with Twilight. I mean he could craft perfect replicas of her and her friends from woods with precise details and colors. If you look closely at one scene he even got Twilight’s feather. That’s pretty impressive research.
What about the other races? For being Twilight’s big fan, he missed out a lot on her history.

There was a twitter post about it mixing up Sugar Bell and Sweetie Belle. I think they said it inspired the idea of making an episode where Sweetie Belle thought she got a valentines day gift from an anonymous pony. Or it was the other way around.
