Doesn’t matter, we’ve already seen that an Earth pony couple can make a Pegasus and a unicorn (the Cakes). There are other examples too, but I don’t remember right off the top of my head.

There’s a couple of suspiciously designed ponies that make me think they were designed that way on purpose. One pegasus guard said he collected sneakers. He suspiciously looked like he was based off of Lyra’s color scheme. The fanbase considered her as obsessed with hands. Another was Phyllis. Named after Starlight’s pet plant. She has Luster Dawn color scheme and is Sprout’s mother. Some fans think Luster Dawn is Starlight and Sunburst’s daughter. Sprout mirrored what Starlight did in g4 s5. There’s another one involving why Sprout ended up being colored kind of like Big Mac but its too far fetched.

After a thousand years, every pony is a recolor of some other pony.

Eh, close, but this is an earth pony, and Snips is a unicorn.
