There are a lot of situations where she would have had more tactical flexibility if she could use horn lasers in order to save on bullets.

Actually, I feel fine with this. It’s not like Littlepip never kill ponies before, she just changing up her style. Why kill ponies with bullets when she can shoot horn laser death-rays and fry their brains from the inside out.
