The hilarious implication that Earth Ponies thought all Unicorns were like aliens from outer space that could melt your brain when most can only use telekinesis or light up their horns and aren’t that much different from Earth Ponies otherwise.
Regular Unicorns were only shown shooting lasers from their horns when under the influence of mind control.

The movie called them “anti-mind-reading hat”.  
The tag on Derpi is “anti-mind reading cap”. Don’t know why it went from hat to cap, and the hyphenation is wrong. It’s not supposed to be a reading cap that is anti-mind.

Do we have a name for those helmets? CanterLogic markets them as protecting you from unicorn magic reading your mind or frying your brain (despite magic having vanished for a while). Maybe call them “anti-unicorn helmet”?
