I think I’m just a sucker for the social philosophy side of this show. Exploring how people act and think and the consequences and potential thereof in a safe, fantastical environment… That’s extremely my jam, turns out.

Pinkie Pie: Wow! You’ve really solved this problem that Equestria’s greatest wizards haven’t figured out for centuries?
Rarity: When you put it like that…
Twilight Sparkle: Hahaha… Of course! It’s all connected!
Applejack: So, probably oughta make sure, is this kind of a “one right answer” thing, or is this more open-ended?
DM: It’s always been more open-ended. I just need to hear a convincing argument of why and how it works.
Twilight Sparkle: Just now, the marks of our destinies were “singled out alone,” separated from all connection and context. But all of us together – “from one to another, another to one” – restored those marks of destiny. They are “fulfilled” again!
DM: …I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting you to pick up on that connection so completely.
Rainbow Dash: Wait, is THAT why you swapped our Cutie Marks?
DM: Well, Discord’s magic did that because it would cause the most chaos. That there was a relevant lesson in it is… narratively convenient.
Twilight Sparkle: We came here looking for a lesson, and we found it! Our friendship reversed Discord’s magic, just like it bound us to the Elements of Harmony. The power of our friendship is magical!
Fluttershy: So… how are you going to finish the spell? What’s the rest of the incantation?
Twilight Sparkle: I… am still working on that!
