May I suggest attempting to refine her mane?
 
Looks a little rough and the colours do seem a bit tacky. It feels like she's wearing some tattered wig.
 
She's a cute design, I feel she could "clean up" a bit.
 
Also, I can imagine this being made into a GIF of her mane blowing in the wind.
