I could see that but some of the other ponies following Gilda secretly to make sure she isn’t back to her old ways.
 
Really, one of the reasons I like her is she does seem like a more extreme form of Dash. ANd possibly has the same loyalty thing too. Might not even have any friends aside from Dash as she figured one was all she needed.
 
The other half for her being revisited is I really want there to be an episode where it delves into just what happened to Dash at Flight Camp and Junior Speedsters. Did she get kicked out? Leave voluntarily? Graduate with honors?

I bet Gilda would get some kind bird, like some kind of loud, annoying parrot she argues with, even though it’s just repeating her.
 
Gilda: Ugh, do you always talk so much?  
Parrot: TALK SO MUCH? *squawk

All we know about Gilda is that she’s like Dash, but without the friends and the learning.
 
I don’t really like her, but I wish she came back to Ponyville, just to apologize to RD and Flutters. It could be a good episode. Gilda comes around and tries, unsuccessfully, to talk with the girls. Then, the only one to lend her a hoof is Pinkie, for example, and they try to smooth things out. The moral could be that lost friends can be regained. I don’t remember any episode about that.
 
Well, I’m rambling. It usually happens when I’m drunk. I’ll stop it now.
