I joined the fandom pretty recently, yes, first entering in 2016. Considering the show first aired in 2010, then I would say that the fandom was definitely very well developed when I first joined. As a result of that, you do know a lot more about the memes that were popular during the earliest days of the fandom than I do. So please forgive me for not knowing about that.  
Also, to put it in perspective, I was only a middle schooler when MLP first aired, and when the fandom was starting out I didn’t have access to a computer. So chances are you are much older than I am, and would have had access to such things during a time when I couldn’t.

I am going to guess that the abbreviated term ‘IWTCIRD’ means something explicit, so maybe it is better to not ask what that stands for….
