I just find it completely out-of-place for a series that for the longest time has been known for the aspects of Forgiveness and Redemption of its bad guys and having shown us some aspect of a deeper emotional bond with the trio that the writers decided to simply have them be punished for a crime that Discord himself was entirely responsible for causing in the first place while he winds up not only going scot-free for planning to commit treason and weaponizing already defeated enemies in the first place, but that he gets the audacity to decide their punishment by means of doing the very thing he said he was against doing in the first place when we met him back in Season 2.

It was the very moment that the series had completely jumped its shark and the whole narrative had fallen apart that I did not care to watch it any longer. I still haven't seen the entirety of The Last Problem on principle because of The Ending of The End and of how Twilight basically started her tyrannical rule through these "Lessons" that Celestia enthralled her with.
