Twilight will be sad yes but she will continue to live and make friends and be happy, because if she be all the time sad is will be dishonor the memory of her friends, plus Twilight have Spike, Discord and all Alicorn, so she will not be alone!

WoG: ‘Twilight will not outlive her friends’ We don’t know if thats because her life will not be as long as we think or if their life will be longer than we think.
 
But the world has soft magic and ‘Age spells’ are a canon concept. Every 10 or 20 years she could just magic them younger.
