Well personally, I think the g5 movie is gonna be good either way, maybe even better than the g4 one.

I think the G4 movie suffered from having to cater to both people unfamiliar with the show and people familiar with the show. It needed to tell a wild new story, different from everything that came before in the show, while also not relying on too much continuity that would require context from the TV show, AND introducing a large cast of characters to an unfamiliar audience, while introducing exciting new characters for fans of the show.
 
The G5 movie doesn’t have this issue. It can just tell a new story, while introducing a new cast. Like basically every other non-sequel movie in existence.

Overall the 2017 movie was decent. Literally a C movie. They didn’t really take any chances and kept it safe (which is understandable). Hopefully this time they try to challenge themselves, and make this movie at least a B.

I guess I should feel fortunate that the infomercials of my day were no longer than an hour.

Well the g4 movie wasn’t that bad, besides I didn’t seem to see any “original characters” anyway, plus seeing non ponies makes the world more diverse, just like how star wars looks.

Lets hope its not as disjointed as MLP Movie for G4. It should focus on the main cast in a small scale adventure and not something epic with many OC’s or non ponies
