Even as someone who probably likes starlight more than crooked, i can definitely bring up far better points to use against her than who someone personally ships her with, how they relate to her, and liking her design these are very personal things. Like i relate to discord, ship him with plenty other characters and love his design but i can bring up points in flaws in both there writing as characters.

I agree with this video. Starlight actually destroyed Equestria several times due to temporal nonsense and got a slap on the hoof compared to what happened to certain other villains.
