More like Spike intercepted Twilight’s “cold” before she accidentally used it on Dashie, which seems to be part of the curse.
I think that means the curse/enchantment that Twilight is under, hence ‘Cold Blooded Twight,” rather than physical cold. That’s why “cold” is in quotes in Spike’s speech bubble.
