How is it fanon? It’s not like we know Chrysalis’s backstory in any way and its not like this contradicts anything in the show.

Idk about fanon, those comics proved wrong by the show. As a result, the background is still open and unexplained. So far Tireks backstory is the only one that not only has not be contradicted but is somewhat confirmed by Discord’s comment.

The comic is now 100% fanon, but an exception can be made if the author here takes in the attack on Timbucktu from the comics. This attack was a total massacre that wiped out an entire pegasi tribe, and it was only the beginning of a brutal killing spree that ended with Celestia intervening during the battle for Troy. How many ponies and non-ponies perished as a result of Chrysalis’ vengeance that pushed her all the way down the cliff? Maybe Celestia figured out why, and deported the swarm to a volcano away from attention.
 
Given the IDW comics and the changeling behavior during the show, especially when Canterlot was attacked, it would be very surprising if they were not Equestria / Equus`s response to the hordes of our world - the Mongols, the Tartars etc. Changelings was a terrible force in its time.

Now that I think about it, the storyline as for now can stay. But I have some ideas.
 
How about Chrysalis and her drones then goes full berserk on that killer Pony group, only then to have the Changelings get punished by Pony justice system or Celestia themselves, without Chrysalis having her chance to give her testimony or being ignored altogether.
 
Imbalance justice always breds contempt and full on revenge. I hope the story goes into that direction, then I may give this a better mark.
