After watching both animation, I must say this is definitely not traced, just inspired and to be honest this is cuter but the other is hotter.

Saying it’s not 100% the same is a poor excuse.

A trace doesn’t have to be 100% accurate, the sole purpose of tracing is to lazily mimic the original piece.  
The FPS matches the original. So does the amount of frames and almost everything else. Only either a non-artist or a very inexperienced one would say this isn’t traced.  
Traced or not it IS a heavy reference I as the original artist do not approve of.
 
This is why artists stop posting or slowly move away from art, because they pour their hearts into unique pieces only to see someone come and copy them with 0 effort.  
I spent 7+ hours non-stop working on the original piece, which was a birthday gift, and spent most of the time smoothing out the movement of each individual part.  
The creator of this piece didn’t have any original interpretation, only changing the character, and making it feral.
 
 
My mind is made up that this is a trace, unless clear proof of how this piece was created is posted.

Tracing accusations are very serious, and should not be thrown around lightly. If you think a picture is a trace, report it, providing proof, instead of trashing the comment section with false accusations. And I would suggest looking up the difference between tracing, referencing and just plain taking inspiration before anything else, only one of those practices is frowned upon. Wanting to watch out for artists and their work is a laudable goal, but stifling artistic freedom is NOT the way to go.
 
Now enough on this subject, focus on the cute bird, please.

This is a reimagining, not a trace. You all need to learn the difference, including a few other artists here who I have lost some respect for today. It’s incredibly disrespectful to nottrevbe to dismiss this entirely because it’s inspired by something.

Perhaps you’re confused. I never said that someone can just change “a few lines” and not consider it a trace. What I said was that these lines do NOT overlap in the sligtest. At all. Period. Capeesh.

You all who think this is traced really need to understand the meaning of it because the accusations are ridiculous and childish, at much it is just heavily referencing the original and it’s ok as long as it isn’t using the same proportions, colors, shapes and character archetype.
 
The amount of effort put into this is different and good enough to have its own merit, this is nothing more that someone being inspired by another person’s art but it is definetly not disrespecting the original drawing unless the artist claims the drawing was 100% his idea.

yeah no, the Lines do NOT line up perfectly. please stop calling this a trace. the Idea is simply used to make a different character in it.

Poportions are different, Rope angle is different, no mane style, less boobage. Eye proportions are different. Artist interpretation, not a trace.

I watched the streams of this being drawn. You all are dumb if you think it’s traced. It’s merely inspired by an existing piece.

Disregard trace accusations, embrace birb floof.

This isn’t a case of tracing. Eye proportions would be different, colors would be flatter, lighting wouldn’t be as pronounced, too many moving parts to even be considered a trace. This is borrowing from the concept, but not the style. If anything, this will be a trend that will soon see NSFW variants in the near future.

That’s not what tracing is. It’s copying what the other did, but it’s all custom drawn and animated, none of the lines are the same. It’s one artist copying another in their own style.
