i wouldnt say its novelty - i mostly drew her with a darker skintone because i made their tops their coat color, and wanted contrast since hers was white. another reason is that i simply liked the idea of portraying her hair that way :)

I love humanizations where Rarity is depicted as a black girl, I can’t explain why. It’s so unexpected and good! The artist did a pretty cool job in the Mane 6.
