It was a really good idea!
i wouldnt say its novelty - i mostly drew her with a darker skintone because i made their tops their coat color, and wanted contrast since hers was white. another reason is that i simply liked the idea of portraying her hair that way :)
Maybe because she is the whitest of them all, it could be the novelty of looking a character so posh looking black.
