1. You don’t have to use Derpy every time people can use their own characters  
2. We don’t know if she’ll be relevant later or not so let’s not dismiss her as a one shot  
3. So “Too Adorable” is suspicious

Why?

1. If we wanted a casual mailpony, we have Derpy;  
2. The length of time she was on-screen is pretty large for a one shot casual background character;  
3. She’s too adorable, and she knows a bunch of the characters involved in the story, so maybe she has some motive in one way or another. I’m sure she’s at least accomplice of something.
