In the future, Princess Celestia finds out about a planet named Earth in a parallel universe. However, she also learns that due to mankind’s wicked nature, the Earth will likely be destroyed in five years.
 
In an attempt to avert this fate, she turns the main six into pony/human hybrids and sends them to Earth. Instead of just arriving outright and freaking everyone out, they first set up a base on Mars, where they form a rock band and start broadcasting music espousing a new, positive message, that Earth’s youth immediately picks up on as being really important.
 
Eventually they main six arrive on earth some short time later, where their popularity only grows; however, the youth of Earth center out Twilight Sparkle for their affection.
 
Eventually Twilight Sparkle’s ego grows to the point where it rips apart the band, and then Twilight Sparkle herself is destroyed by her own excesses and an increasingly insane fanbase.
