Sidenote: I know this looks awful but whatever
~~
“Well? D’ya get the food?” Dess asked as Twilight neared the table.
“Yup! Uh, Saccharine- could I see you outside for a second?”
Saccharine un-faceplanted on the table and got up after grabbing a few fries. Once outside, she looked in at Frost, who was now attacking her food as if it was alive and trying to get away. She tried not to start laughing hysterically.
“Saccharine, I found her.”
She was brought out of her internal laughing fit- “What?”
“She works here. We’ll be seeing her in-” Twilight looked at the moon- “about two minutes.” (Sidenote: I have a headcanon that ponies can tell time by the position of the moon, sun, and stars. Now as to why Twilight didn’t just ask someone to check their phone, I don’t know.)
Saccharine stood frozen in place, overcome with thoughts of seeing her mother again. She only had four more days before she would be wiped from existance, and she somehow needed to get a cold-hearted siren to sympathize with her. “T-two minutes?”
“Actually,” Twilight turned Saccharine around- “Right about now.”
Standing in front of the two was Aria Blaze, who’s eyes suddenly widened and began to tear. “Saccharine?”
“Mom, you abused me for years and-”
Aria pulled her daughter into a hug, beginning to cry hysterically in joy. “I was worried sick! I thought you were in trouble, but no-one had seen you!”
“Mom, I have something important to tell you.”
Wiping her leaking mascara away, Aria managed to stop sobbing. “Yes, sweetheart?”
She took a deep breath “iaccidentallycastaspellthatchangedyourpastandnowwecouldbothbedeadorworseifidontgetyoutosympathizewithmeandialmostdestroyedtheapplefamily!”
“I’ll be honest, I didn’t understand any of that.” said Aria, clearly thinking hardly- “But all that matters to me is that you’re okay. I love you, Saccharine. And I’m so sorry that I treated you so horribly.”
