Got to appreciate the choice of sword Megan’s using. Kreigmessers are badass.

This scene shows a tragic story, in which a loyal general with his faithful knights chooses to defy his empress who will establish her domination of the world to ensure peace and harmony in a war-torn world, Enzo knew his death was inevitable, but chose to sacrifice his life for Griffonia. After Megan had defeated Tirek if her fate was either death or permanent exile, it seems that she believed the empire had to expand across the continent and then the rest of the world not just to avoid new internal uprisings. Unfortunately, her good intentions lead to bloodshed, tragedy and suffering as she could not help but use violence in a very violent world. This was General Enzo’s fate.
 
EQ shows us a tragedy where early allies and friends fight to the death, where the outcome was already decided in advance.

So one of the greatest artist talents within the MLP fanon art is finally back. An artist who is one of the very few who had served as a source of inspiration for the artists and writers for both the show, the movie and the comics. Notice the wand with the crystal that Megan holds here, have we not seen a similar one when the magic of the alicorns was stolen by the Storm King? He had constructed his own world in MLP - which has now been realized thanks to the confirmation of the ponyverse as a canon, as one of many thousands of alternative worlds in addition to the canon “prime world”.
 
Only two figures in the entire MLP ponyverse could claim to be the “world ruler” of the world of ponies, the canon Grogar, “the emperor of all he sees”, and the fanon Megan William, empress of the first crystal empire. EQs Equus is not dead, it lives on as part of the ponyverse, as one of the most amazing fanon created alternative worlds of G4 (and G1). The artist gave us a wonderful gift.
