Starry Eye’s sister Chicory is a Shotokan-sensei, so Starry Eye grew up with some basics of martial arts.
When she eventually joined the Nightmares to live a life in meditation and health-techniques, Chicory decided to give her some training on the way.
Doing Kara-te, Starry Eye learned some of the necessary self-control to deal with her curse mark, and also earned her her first kyu (rank, girdle).
