sooo i realized my princess headcanons are outdated now so i decided to update them for fun, starting with celestia!  
I personally never really had a problem with her color palette but i had an idea for her night time look (which is an idea i got from some other lovely redesigns ive seen) so i took the purple out and replaced it with yellow and i think it looks rlly nice!! I like the idea of her mane and tail changing colors to look more sunset-y at night, it kinda signifies her duties are over for the day and that luna can take over ^^  
some other things I’ve changed is her horn, i like redesigns where the horned ponies have these crazy shaped horns and i did something different here with celestia’s- a curved and jagged horn signifies a well seasoned unicorn and the horn changes shape due to excessive magical use, which, well, she’d use a lot of lmaoo  
and i gave her a little beard!! i like to think beards were much more prevalent back in the day but went out of style and were eventually bred out, so now they are a status of power and the only ponies to have the traditional unicorn beards are the princess sisters (and some notable royalty)  
soo yep yep i had way too much fun with this haha, I’m planning on doing luna too (but idk when cause i have a lot of ideas and i have to settle on one lol) and cadance ofc, but until then here’s celestia !! ^^ <333
