No wrong way to fantasize. =)  
Right now I can remember three fanfics of zebras doing sexual conquest of ponies. I don’t doubt it’s not the only reason they ever have, but it does seem the most common. I’ve never done an actual research on the subject though, so my impression may be inaccurate.

That’s not true, literally the most famous fanfic of this Fandom, Fallout:Equestria, uses zebras in a non-sexual way, besides, there’s nothing wrong in giving some love to the zebras!

Dude calm down, they’re literally tecnicolor ponies, besides, it’s not like zebras are used only in porn, there are plenty of stories were zebras are used for other means, like wizards with special abilities or an invading force how is going to take over equestria, or who knows, they’re talking zebras…..

It might also end up in zebras and ponies realizing that the most important difference in society these days is the wealth gap. And after realizing they’re the precariat, and that there is no such thing like an upper middle class, they march on the castle and overthrow the monarchy.
