Ah yes, the episode that made up half a dozen rules about dragons, had smolder be a total butt to spike and completely insensitive to his worries (yet some people somehow thinks that makes them friends), and ends with nothing different having happened.
 
Honestly the plot was basically the same as Owl’s Well where Spike is convinced he won’t be/isn’t loved anymore, leaves home, is attacked by a vicious creature, and then goes home to be treated exactly the same as when the episode started.

Yeah, but cutie marks are a bit different. It’s when a pony discovers their true talent whereas puberty is the body changing. Which this episode was the perfect representation of.
