I’ve seen a few points that are fair for why to dislike her. She’s my personal favorite, but here they are: Brash, destructive, self-centered, kind of dumb, got worse in later seasons. I’m personally not the case for this, as I stopped watching the later season for reasons, and think the flaws in her personality are great for fanfiction where they can be addressed/fixed/played with.

I’m just pointing this out, but at least from the fanfiction sphere, people absolutely love doing their best to trash Celestia in their stories. Using her constantly as a scapegoat for everything that goes wrong.
 
And then making Luna show up as the better princess who does things better.

I also loathe the fact that whenever we say that we like Luna, or that Luna’s our favorite pony, people immediately assume that we hate Celestia. As if it’s a goddamn rule for Luna fans to bully Celestia.

Well, people were acting as if Luna herself was the one who stopped the discussion post. They should have been attacking the person who stopped the discussion post rather than the Luna fans, who literally didn’t do anything. Besides, if we’re talking about the same manchild, then he did the exact same thing in the Luna day post. So Celestia fans should count themselves lucky that he didn’t get to ruin their day.
 
Recently, I’ve been seeing lots of Luna bashers using the excuse, “Luna fans abused Celestia all those years back, so now it’s our turn to insult them”
 
They think it’s okay to insult every single Luna fan just because Luna fans from 2012 used to abuse Celestia. It doesn’t make them any better than those Celestia haters. It puts them on the same level of stupidity as them. Recently, I have noticed that people standing up for Celestia got lots of praise and likes on their comments whereas whenever anyone stands up for Luna nowadays, they’re either ignored, or are told that they are a “stereotypical brony” or that “Luna is overrated and you should shut up”
 
Yes, Celestia still gets hate, but it’s really rare now. It’s come to a point where people bashing Celestia are no longer praised and instead are ridiculed. If this were 2012-2014, no one would be standing up for Celestia, and no one would be upset over Luna winning everything. The fandom has changed now.
